CyboSoft presents Process Control “Bible” to MFA Practitioners

October 10, 2005 – CyboSoft (Rancho Cordova, California) today announced that it will present 25 of the newly published Instrument Engineers’ Handbook, “Process Control and Optimization” to 25 outstanding MFA control practitioners. For the first time, Model-Free Adaptive (MFA) control has been included in this acclaimed "bible" of instrument and control engineering. Written as a reference book for process control and instrument engineers, whose first edition was published in 1969, the book has been used by tens of thousands of engineers around the world.

Dr. George Cheng, CyboSoft chairman and inventor of the Model-Free Adaptive (MFA) control said, “MFA is so revolutionary that it was conceived too good to be true when we first introduced the technology at the ISA Expo in 1997. We want to give our sincere appreciation to the MFA practitioners who have helped us to make MFA successful in their industry. Most of them have also provided valuable suggestions that have allowed us to enhance the MFA control technology and products to bridge the gap between theory and applications.”

On the front page of the book, Bela Liptak, Editor-in-Chief, wrote, “Dedicated to my colleagues, the instrument and process control engineers. It is hoped that by applying the knowledge found on these pages, we will make our industries more efficient, safer, and cleaner, and thereby will not only contribute to a happier future for all mankind, but will also advance the recognition and prestige of our profession.” This statement also reflects CyboSoft’s mission and belief. To make this gift more meaningful, the gifted books will be autographed by George Cheng, the contributor of the MFA control section.

Based on the criteria of (i) MFA’s adoption time in that industry by the practitioner(s), and (ii) significance of the application, CyboSoft will select 25 recipients from the following industries to receive the gifted book:

  • Academic
  • Aerospace & Space
  • Air Separation
  • Building Automation
  • Chemical
  • Digital Printing Equipment
  • Food Processing
  • Forest Products
  • Iron & Steel
  • Laboratory

About CyboSoft
CyboSoft, General Cybernation Group, Inc., is the leader in control technology serving the worldwide process control, building control, and equipment control markets. CyboSoft’s patented Model-Free Adaptive (MFA) control technology for automatically controlling physical processes is a major breakthrough. No other comparable technology possesses all the attributes of MFA.

CyboSoft's mission is to embed the appropriate MFA controllers in instruments, equipment, tools, software platforms, or automation systems of brand-name suppliers in targeted industries, application areas, or market segments. MFA controllers are replacing PID controllers on a very large scale and are also used for controlling those loops that are now in manual control. This revolutionary technology allows users to achieve significant advantages to better compete in this global economy.
